I saw you replied, Scott, and I figured "finally, someone got it!"

    Yeah, I was pissed.

This happened one night with the CB7 too. The supervisor on duty was a total dumbass, and had no clue what to do (and not enough sense to call someone who would). The kid that pumped the gas said "it's still gas"... Luckilly it was alright.

Today, the supervisor seemed to give me the same reaction. "Our gas has a high enough octane rating that it won't do any damage"... I asked her if she knew what the octane rating meant, or why it mattered... she just kind of ignored that question. Her manager was outside chatting with someone, so she didn't bother talking to me. The supervisor I was talking to called some guy to ask where their "pamphlets" were that explained their gas (I know all about gas and octane ratings... far better than she does, I'm sure)... then she pretty much pushed past me to leave the office, grabbed a bottle of octane booster, and said "take this, it'll fix the problem. free of charge."... No pinging, so I suppose it's good. Still... they were quite rude.

I don't know how to pump my own gas! Last time I did it was the last time you saw me in person, Eric!

The doober that pumped the gas even SAID "$20 premium?" I ALWAYS look to make sure they hit the 93 button... this ONE time that I don't look (probably because he so clearly repeated what I asked for) and he screws it up. My CEL is on... I should blame it on them

Yeah... mandatory. It's actually illegal to pump your own gas.

I figured it was regular, because under product it just said unleaded.

I figured it would have said something like Plus for mid grade and premium for premium, since unleaded is a generic descriptor that applies to all gas sold in the US.

Hopefully the octane booster will take care of the problem until you get the next tank of gas.

And to think, all of that because some dumbass couldn't ground his portable tank by placing it on the ground, and blew themselves up.

At least that is why Oregons law exists. Don't know about Jersey.

Ironically, this is one of my prime fears with flying. We typically don't pump our own gas, and it is always part of the preflight to make sure they put the correct fuel in. Luckily it is color coded.

A jet engine will run with limitations on 100LL, but a piston engine will NOT run very well on Jet Fuel, so you have to be careful.

They also ground the truck to the plane, and then the plane to the ground, just to make sure things don't go boom.

I think you will be fine, just keep an eye out for any trouble. Hopefully, the knock sensors will save you.

Does it seem sluggish to you?

Deev, you didnt say it was a Full-service station rcpt....

Figures..thats "Old Mr. Murphy". "If it can happen, it will happen" The one time you DONT look, they pump in regular

As much as i would enjoy full-service, i definitely wouldnt trust anybody putting gas in my car. Self-Serv FTW! :P
