You dont have it setup so you need a username and password to log into it? What router do you have?

            Damn, that sucks.

Encrypt it ASAP before they steal all of your internets! But seriously, if it is YOUR connection (not at a school or library or anything) I'd find a way to see if it's possilbe to track them down, since it IS illegal and everything.

Saw this on slashdot.org and thought it was a funny way to discourage wireless leechers.... http://www.ex-parrot.com/~pete/upside-down-ternet.html
also some more info for any nerds that want to try it out... http://it.slashdot.org/it/06/07/27/1....shtml?tid=133

ive "stolen" plenty of internetz, personally who gives a crap if they did nothing wrong.

somebody probably jsut bought a new wireless net unit for the xbox360 (they have those right?) and found a network... kick em off the network if you want, but pressing charges against it is pretty pointless. similar to if somebody was watching your TV

Its more like someone splitting your cable TV signal. It doesn't really hurt you, except since one more pc shares your signal, it slows you down.

When I worked at Bennigan's, I'd take my break on double shifts and go driving around with my laptop looking for a signal

The three houses around me all have wireless, and none of them are encrypted. Sometimes i get connected to my network, sometimes its one of theirs. it doesnt really matter to me, as long as i have access.

My neighbor works for the cable company. Someday I think I might check to see if I can get on the internet... with my modem unplugged Of course, with all the downloading I do, that might not be cool to hog all his bandwidth.

but if you have a faster router, it'll be more fast and reliable than theirs...
