low oil or oil pump wasnt working to well if ur on a stock f22a wiht over 200k miles, they do blow when the pump goes out, other then that i use over 6 quarts since im always in v tec, she just magiclly dissappears, my motor doesnt burn oil tho like those cars shooting out giant smokes
knowledge is everything with experience on hand then just hearing word of mouth doesnt prove you can do anything

Once I seen the oil light on for more than a few seconds I shut it off and never cranked it agin. Im just gonna change the oil and use no lucas. Anyone had this problem?

na he has an H22 and he didnt have quite enough oil in it, it wasnt his pump.

And i agree, none of my service lights have ever come on. just my SRS light to check itself and then it goes off and my seatbelt light. All my door lights work when their open and my trunk light. The low gas light works as well but the CEL, OIL, Heat etc none have ever come on...im hoping thats because my car rocks and not because they dont work and when i spring a fucking monsoon leak of oil on 95 and my car kinda of lurks to a stop that the light comes on first lol before i lock up my motor

EDIT- Hope is a scary thing......

Lemme tell ya about that Lucas oil slop

You were tricked by the little gear toy on the parts counter at the auto parts store, weren't you? That stuff is THICK, almost like 80 weight. Its fine for doing a rear differential, but never again will I put it in my engine. Here's why:

It thickens oil up so that it leaves a coating on everything, which is fine, but it is very thick when its cold, and actually makes my car hard to start by audibly cranking slower after its been sitting for even a few hours. Not only this, but since I've changed the oil and used 1qt of the Lucas and 3qt of Valvoline 10w40 (for winter), my mileage has significantly lessened; I used to get 420-450 miles to the tank, and now I only get 350-370, which is a 17%-20% decrease in mileage with no change in driving habits. I have not witnessed or experienced any oil light related issues with the Lucas product [yet].

Now, Ive given the Lucas oil the benefit of the doubt, but when it been consistent for 5 or 6 tanks, my thoughts are to change back to regular oil and not waste the $7 or $10 on it again for the crankcase. Now when it comes time to change the differential on the Volvo, that'll be another story.

I used lucas in my old cb to try to seal up some oil leaks. Finally the engine went at 235k and I discovered lucas leaves a pretty nasty coating of grime behind. After reading this article I stopped using it for good. http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/images/lucas/lucas.htm
