i got a h22 swap in my accord and it wont hit vtec it was fine yesterday but today i went to race this firebird and it didnt work and it has oil

cei? we dnt know... however the coolant temp. sensor, if it is bad or the wire is cut or dissconnected in any way will cause it not to engage VTEC through the ECU. try that, if i recall right that brought up a cei, as did dirty or bad VTEC solenoid. hit us back with more details like any work done to the car and when and howoften it doesnt engage.

vtec engagement isn't temperture sensitive. you reach the appropiate rpm and it kicks in. at least thats how mine work, unless there is some different vtec mode i am unaware of. although i don't dog my engine until its up to running temperture.91 Ex CB9
