what ecu is the best for a modified h22a in a cb7? ive talked to and read that the p13 isnt that great of an ecu to modify...i also heard that the p28 is the best ecu to use because it can be easily modified...but what about the p72? what do you guys run?

They do have an obd1 p72. Both ECUs work well but I prefer the P28.

The P28 is good. I'mr unning one with a Hondata S300 and it's great, but it doesn't support the knock sensor (not a big deal) or the IABs (which I would prefer it did), but the P72 does support the IABs and you can put a chip in it or a Hondata if you have the $600 or so to spend on it. I like the "tune on the fly" ability of the Hondata S300...Originally posted by Junior SmurffNevermind guys, google search works wonders!

some info on chipping ecu's.
http://cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=56836
it doesnt matter which ecu you get, as long as its chipped with the things you need.(it needs to be one of those ecu's listed tho)
a chipped p06 with vtec and iabs works just as well as a p72, and its also much cheaper unless you get a p72 or p28 for cheap.
but its not the ecu itself that makes the difference, its the map and how its tuned thats most important.

most common option is the p28. its easier to get. although when i do my swap within the next month i will be running a jdm p72 w/s200. the p72 is harder and more espensive but closer to the p13 than the p28.91 Ex CB9
JDM h22 auto swap, now w/H23 5spd conversion, short ram intake w/K&N filter, DC ceramic header, 2.25" custom catback exhaust, AMR Engineering coilovers, 205/50/16's Enkei RS5's, front slotted rotors, Xenon body kit.

and again, it doesnt matter what ecu it is or how "close" it is, as it will be chipped and tuned(hopefully)
