Hey guys i have a 5 speed 93 ex. Last week i bought a jdm vtec controller. i spent 339.000 on it. I tried to install it yesterday and the instructions were all in japanese. So i couldn't read it. I just had to follow the pictures. so after i istalled it, i took it for a test drive. I couldn't hit vtec. i had to shift at 5500rpms like usual. so what i wanted to know is why can't i hit vtec. is it becasue i have a usdm motor and i bought a jdm vtec controller?

Please DO NOT Post In The General Section
From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.
The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.
For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.
Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.
Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

At least you spelled vtec right...The engines in cb7s are one of these three f22a1, f22a4, or f22a6 which are all sohc non-vtec. The 94-97 Accords (ex model) are the ones that have the f22b1 sohc vtec engine stock. What vtec controller did you get anyway?
