ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    h22a cel code 22

    93 accord ex H22a type s lsd
    No vtec at all
    cel code 22
went to the honda dealer and purchased a brand new
vtec pressure switch and vtec soleniod
changed the oil and oil filter and the levels are fine
still no go so i checked the ecu wires and pin outs
    - Vtec solenoid: Pin A4
    - Vtec pressure switch: Pin D6
    - Knock sensor: Pin D3
and ran new wires still cel code 22
picked up my friends ecu to test and the same problem.
so i pulled of the vtec pressure switch off
and it barley has any oil on it.
no matter how hard i drive the car the
vtec will not come on and why does
the fans never come on and there plugged
up could it be the car is cold which i doubt
and if so how can i fix it.
NO matter how many times we downshift vtec is on our side.

To operate vtec you will need

      1. Engine to operating temp
      2. Oil level has to be good
      3. DOES NOT WORK REVVING IN NEUTRAL
      4. No CEL's

yeah the temp sensor is moving toward the middle but does not go
all the way. another thing is that my car idles like its going to
2000 rpm then drops backdown to 800rpm allday long
it may not be enough coolant iam gonna pull the
thermostat out and check again and if no go ill post back

so if your throwing any cel that means vtec is not working?

This is correct. If you have a CEL that is on, the ecu runs in a "limp" mode state. You will be dumping fuel, not excess, but there will be a little bit more fuel consumption due to the fact that the ecu is running a basemap that will fatten everything up slightly until the issue is resolved.

As far as the idle surging discussed above, you may have to "burp" the coolant system to relieve it of any excess air that may be in the system and fill it with coolant while "burping".
