ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Hey everybody, how do you remove a lug nut when the socket ( 19mm) meant for it is to same, and the next size up is to big?

??? If its the same then that means it works? Correct me if I'm wrong lmao If what your saying is it's stripped then you can get a kit for to remove them or you can just get a punch and a hammer and break it off, cheapest way, then just go to a junk yard and get one for a 99.9999% discount

sorry about that, ok so the 19mm socket will not fit on the nut, it's to small, and the 20mm is to big, it slips. Hopefully that clearer

somebody probably replaced them at some point. try imperial sizes, as they usually land just in-between the metric sizes.

                19mm = .748 inches

So a 3/4 socket is .002 inches larger than the 19mm. That's about the thickness of a grocery bag.

Practically interchangeable. If the 19 doesn't work a 3/4 might...but seems unlikely it's that close. Who knows.

It should only be a 19mm or 3/4.
Sounds like the corners have been rounded over, so that the flats are slightly bigger.
Try tapping the 19mm socket on with a hammer.

13/16 is an oddly common lug nut size, which is 0.813 inches (20.5mm). very possible, since thats what my old '91 had all the way around.

and if all that fails, go to sears and buy a lug removal tool. Its got teeth around the inside that "bite" into the lugnut as you hammer it on the lug. Then you simply remove the old lugs. We have to do this a lot at Discount tire since people are retarded and lose their wheel lock key
