ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

eBay coilovers and both on the left or right side, you choose.

But seriously what shocks are you going with for your slammed ride? If you say stock your gonna get blown shocks. Both springs and shocks should be taken into consideration, they work together. As for your rear or front spring placement question what is the spring rate for the springs?

if you want a really slammed ride just on springs, get some sprint extremes. these will drop your car 3 1/4 in the front and 3 in the back. or you could just get some coilovers so you can adjust your ride height if needed. as for your other question, why would you want to have a huge drop on one side and not the other? but hey its your car.

ebay coilovers???? the question was what SPRINGS are the BEST... you failed completely in your answer. im not even gonna get started on the left or right side comment, and why are you asking spring rates, when he was asking about buying two springs if he should buy the fronts or the rears, not where to put them, not to mention ebay coilovers dont give their spring rates, .... etc etc......

91EX-R has it right, the best springs / lowering ratio are the Sprint Extremes. Be aware of camber issues and blown struts like he said. And you can't get just two springs. If youre on a budget THAT limited, you may not want to be considering lowering your car. Save until you can get decent springs (all 4 lol), decent struts, and a camber kit at least.

nicely put '93accordse. anyway a decent suspension system is pretty expensive (unless you want to blow your shocks). expect to pay around $500-800 for a good setup. if you just get springs, you will end up blowing your shocks, possibly causing damage to something else (such as the struts, chassis etc.), and just ending up paying more in the long run. i suggest saving up your money until you have enough to buy a good setup and do it right the first time.

the most popular choices for people with lowered cars are Koni Yellows or KYB AGX's. these are both quality shocks made by well known companies and there are very few complaints about them. the Yellows are a more expensive than the AGX's so it depends what kind of budget you have. i personally wouldn't know what brand would work best with coilovers but i think that the AGX's have more perches than the Yellows. not sure about this tho. check the members ride thread for people who have the same setup and ask how it handles, rides etc. and hopefully someone will help you out.

this is one of the worst, most mind-numbingly ignorant things i have read on cb7tuner in awhile.

well, '93accordse was right again. cutting and heating springs is one of the worst things u can do to try to upgrade your suspension system. doing so will blow your shocks very quickly which means u have to get new ones. so yea bad idea on the cutting/heating.

                        BTW: spell checker PLEASE!

rofl this cracks me up, heating/cutting progressive springs can be dangerous as it weakens the spring and is extremely hard on oem shocks. performance aftermarket springs are specifically designed to certain spring rate specs and load ratings. in no way does a heated/cut oem coil compare at all. "riding on rails" makes me laugh, i had ebay coilovers for a long time on oem shocks. it was an extremely harsh ride and at times hard to control the car over anything but the smoothest road.

the comment about sacrificing a nice ride for performance....you need to ride in someone's car who actually invested in a nice setup. i'm extremely happy with mine, it rides great. the ride stiffness is there but the integrity and handling of the ride is preserved by the rebound dampening of my shocks. i hear no complaints from anyone that has ridden in it. finding shocks to handle your aftermarket spring rate is a must imo.

to the op, i would go with koni yellows preferably the neuspeed edition with extra perch settings. my buddy was very happy with those on his ride and it handled well.

im not your "bro", i would NEVER "trus" you, im not "jelus", i didn't spend "mad loot", and "dose companes" do NOT "jus cut em n heat em til dey do wat dey want." You lose.

to the OP, Koni Yellow's will suit you just fine and you will love the ride. I have them on my rear with AGX up front and i like both of them pretty equally you really cant go wrong.
