SHARE YOU STORIES, GOOD OR BAD...
Last night i get home and my roommate and his girl shoveled all the driveway but 10-15 feet at the base. This 10-15 foot patch was about 12+ inches of snow on the ground. So i went for it right when my roommate was coming down the driveway on the snowskate...he tags my side mirror and i stop. Hes ok. I back down and i get stuck on this patch, start digging the snow out from under and a guy pulls up in a Yota. "you want me to pull you out?" So he pulled me out, we shoveled this patch out and i try to go up again. Almost made it and got stuck AGAIN sliding backwards down the driveway.(scary shit, you have to use the e-brake, if you hit the foot brake, you slide out left or right) My roommate pulls me out this time and i give it one last shot and nope, didnt make it but 5 more feet and i would've made it. Backing down is fuckin crazy... So i parked it on the street hoping i wouldnt get plowed in. Sure enough i saw the plow guy go by the opposite side of where i parked. So i went down there and turned her around. Then he plowed the other side.
Time to get some studded tires...
It was a frustrating night for me... I took my frustration out on shoveling snow for my drop in and jumps im building... I was sore today...
So i did some night boarding out around my house tonight. Theres a few good 4-8 foot drops up the road, pretty much a 5' quarterpipe at the end of my driveway, we had a jump and a rail set up for the snow skate which is barried under snow now, i shoveled a drop in for a couple jumps off our driveway AND dropping off the roof!(10') Not to mention a few good fresh powder runs for about 10-20 yards...
Good session for an hour past... I cant wait till this weekend to get up to the mtn..
Hows it treatin' you?
