It's been cold as fuck lately. My car decided today was the day it wanted to have some issues. I took my aftermarket gauges out, well, I was putting the stock temp sensor back in the t-stat housing, well, it broke. It was threaded in, the threads broke, it wouldn't come out. I had to take it to a machine shop to have it fixed, that was free. Got another temp sensor for free. In the midst of all this, I realize I have a super HUGE oil leak. I went from about half a quart low to almost no oil in about 10 minutes of sitting. Had to run to Wally World to get some more to get my car back home. All the while in the freezing ass weather and the wind.
I'm thinking the oil leak was caused from the gaskets on the oil cooler not being warmed up, at all. I've never had this problem before, but I didn't want my car to get too warm, since I'd be dealing with the antifreeze. It's getting an oil change tomorrow.
