wow, that was one of the minor benefits. it does make a difference in a rwd not having an extra 200lbs hanging over the front end. not so much grocery getters but yeah.....modding a car is not all about doing things the hardest way possible. it's modding it to your own taste. the ka didn't meet my standards of what i want to do with the car. the sr20det is one of the most widely supported import engines out there and it has been out there awhile in several forms.

if all i wanted was power i would throw in an lsx engine. i don't get why you jump on everyone's shit when they don't do things the cheapest way possible. not to hate but you seem to constantly go that route with knockoff parts instead of the real thing. sure i could have gone and got an ebay intercooler setup that cost half as much as a full greddy kit...but does the ebay kit mount up with all stock bracketing and fit perfectly? no....(besides the fact the thing came with the clip).

i keep wondering why you of all people haven't boosted...even played with your own dsm kit. then i remember, you like me have only one car....and it needs to be reliable. screwing around with ****er rigged builds/experimenting with parts on your own dd isn't always fun because shit starts failing which i have had happen, on my accord and this car. that is why i decided to try to get the most stock (read oem) boosted setup i could. that is also why sean and i go with top shelf parts, the manufacturers have been around a long time and their parts are tried and true. i would rather spend the money and have a more reliable product than take the chance with a knockoff. rota wheels, chinese turbos etc. i'm not saying all knockoffs are bad, but for the most part they aren't up to the original item's standards.

now hopefully you see i'm not trying to start shit but man you gotta see other people's points of view.

I haven't built a boosted motor because it is not for me. It's way too easy to make power with boost. All you need is a built bottom end with a decently flowing head and a nice sized turbo. The boost controller will do the rest of the work(even on a shitty log manifold, 500whp can be achieved). Keeping it in tip top shape is the trick. I don't like constant maintenance, which is something an aftermarket turbo vehicle requires. I also enjoy the challenge of getting 5whp more out of an NA motor. Expensive, but way more challenging.

I see your point in wanting an OEM setup where it's "most reliable". Cheap parts are reliable too, fyi. They also perform well enough, for less than half the amount of money half the time.

Also, I'm sure a KA build would have cost you more than your swap is, so don't bring cheap parts into this because it had nothing to do with it.
