    First day at the track

Well, I finally got my S300 tuned (175.5hp 151tq on a DynoJet) and went to Sacramento Raceway for a few runs. Didn't get the times I was hoping for, but they were decent...

Stock US spec Prelude 5spd tranny. I'm thinking about installing an LSD, but I need to hear what others have installed and how they like them... I know I don't want the Phantom Grip, but I was looking at the M2B4, OBX, Cusco and Quaife trying to get the best for my money without going broke.

How many times i gotta tell you cats Quaife lsd, stock rims and performance tires take out all that shit in the trunk jack,spare,a/c,p/s,cruisecontrol,stop racing with aftermarket rims, mcmaster your motormounts, get a shortshifter, ditch the rearseats, get aftermarket lighter seats if you can or lose the passengers seat. Look at the difference your car will be faster.

I was running on 17" rims, but I have since put the stock steel 14s back on. My bushings are probably shot, but I have on order a urethane bushing master kit and urethane motor mount inserts to help put my power to the ground. Then maybe an LSD, but they are kinda pricey for a good one and I AM on a budget (wifey gets upset when I spend too much on the car... hehe). And the track was cooling off as the evening wore on, hence the slower ETs. Wheel hop was getting worse with the cooler track conditions. 60 ft times were increasing as were the ETs, but the trap speeds were fairly consistent.
I was throwing 7k shifts (shift light (which is the CEL, thank you Hondata!) comes on at about 6800 rpm) since my peak power is at 7k, no point in revving any higher. And since this is sometimes a DD, I want to keep the CC, PS and AC so I can't do any weight reduction there.
I think that once I get the power to the ground at launch, I'll be running 14.6 - 14.8 pretty consistently... THAT I would be happy with!

your times should be getting better as the evening cools.

You don't need traction bars, just need to feather the clutch and tighten up that front end.

h22sparkle: Is all you do reccomend a short shifter, urethane mounts, and a Quafie? Do you have everything you reccomend? Also, I'm not doing a single bit of weight reduction yet because that is not a REALISTIC idea of how fast a STREET car goes on the street.

Good times overall bub, practice practice practice [like I'm doing] and you'll be gold!
