Well, my wife no longer drives a Civic...

We picked that up today. $14,000 plus a 7yr/100k extended warranty (which is AWESOME... more on that in a minute!)

It's an 02 SE with 44k on the clock. Auto, unfortunately... No ABS, but it has a sunroof (SE in 02 was a slightly better LX, rather than the top of the line). F23 SOHC VTEC engine... has a little pep to it. Compared to the Civic it's a rocket!

Some minor body flaws, but overall it's in good shape. The interior is flawless, and mechanically it's excellent.

The warranty is amazing. Everything but cosmetic stuff is covered (which sucks, because I found a dent in the trunklid that I didn't notice on the lot...). Powertrain, electronics, suspension... all good for 7 years or 100k miles. NO deductible (if anyone remembers the stories of my friend with the 04 GLI, he paid $90 a visit for warranty work.) If the car goes into the shop overnight, we get a loaner free of charge. If the car breaks down, we get free roadside assistance. If the car breaks down out of state, they'll pay for a hotel and food for up to 3 nights (I think that's the deal...). If we get sick and are unable to work, Honda will pay (not defer... PAY) the payments for the time we are out of work (and that only requires one of us to be out of work). Yeah, well worth the extra money!

The sad thing is that since we went roughly $5,000 over what we planned on spending, my BMW plans are pretty much shot. Oh well... it's a reliable family car. I'll just find another CB7 as a second car! When the time comes for a BMW, I'll just sell the second CB7 to someone on here that could use a good car!

Man, we took the Civic up in the hills of North Jersey last weekend... now, Jersey hills are pretty pathetic as far as hills go. Just the foothills of the Pocono mountains. The Civic did NOT like going up those things! I don't think the Accord will have any issues I keep telling her her engine is now bigger than mine! (Mine is WAY more powerful though... )

Cool, but you do know that 6th gen+ Auto Accord trannies pretty much suck. I know one person who's 6th gen auto is getting replaced by Honda. And another whose tranny is dying. I understand that you have the warranty, but nobody likes downtime from their car. You should be familiar with that too.

Nice, I actually looked at a 02 accord V6 coupe , fully loaded, auto, sun roof, leather, 6 disc, alloys, etc with 50k miles for $14K also....the finance and sales managers are my friends so they were willing to go down to $12k but I passed....great buy Deev

Sweet deal, my boss recently bought an identical car with the lx trim. He really enjoys it a lot (he formerly drove domestic cars i.e. taurus haha). I would definately rock one of those for a daily driver. I gotta get my hands on some of those se rims though man

Damn Deev I didnt even see you there today.
Me, Adam, and Tito all worked

Glad to see you're still in the Honda family.
Not for nothing but i think the tires i got on my car now are from that car when it first got traded in
But yeah, its a pretty good car, just take it easy on the Trans.
                    We did two trannies today on a 98 and a 00 4cyl.

One more thing...you sure your car doesnt have ABS?
I thought it did for some reason.
Enjoy your car, and if you ever need anything from there let me know...

Nah, according to the salesman, the SE didn't get the ABS of the EX. It has stupid rear drums too It's cool though. Meg isn't used to ABS, so she doesn't need it. The Civic didn't have it either!

I know the V6 trannies were crap... the 4s are supposed to be pretty solid, no? Either way, I'd actually prefer if we blew it up and got a brand new one before the warranty was up!

it's just the v6 trannies that are the problems. and you can just swap a 5 speed for the auto.

                              Congrats on the Accord.

Looks like you should drive to Cali and take off some sparkplugs so Honda can pay for your vacation lol j/k

                              Any plans for it?

The Honda paying for payments for when you are sick sounds new to me, is it? Haven't heard of that before. Maybe I should ask for those next time I get a car.
