well its official. as of last thursday night, i was pulled over for the first time in the tl. completely my fault, yet no ticket.
i was going 101n to 680n. for those that dont know, there are 3 lanes on the right side of 101 that split off and goto 280/680. i was inthe middle of 3 lanes and there was someone going slow in front of me. the next lane over had someone going even slower witha huge gap of no cars in front of them. seeing this, i took advantage of the situation. as soon as i passed the car to the right of me, i floor it, switch lanes and mash up the overpass.
i hit about 90, and let off. i glance around in my mirrors, not really looking for anything, just something i do sometimes... and i see a cop back in the distance changing into my lane... i knew it was over already.
so he follows me to 680 and pulls me over. and for the first time ever, didnt ask me "do you know why i pulled you over?"... he just says, "i pulled you over cause you were doing 80+ back there." i said, " i know, i was just trying to get over lanes." he says, "oh, didnt want to miss your exit?". i reply, "not really."
so he asks for my paperwork and i give it to him. comes back a minute later and gives my stuff back and says, "well, its your lucky day. i got another call, so drive safe." and lets me go.
not that it helps at all, but heres a little pic for ya. the 'x' would be the cop. i swear, timing couldnt have been worse. by the timing of it all, i would assume the cop was right behind me when i decided to floor it.
