Damn nothing has gotten any better

Ok guys i need help as some of you may have remember i had a bad weekend with my car gettn broken into and shit stolen then my friends family and other things. well the shit keep piling on.

This morning my dad comes into my room and wakes me up and says my windshield was broken. Due to a beer bottle thrown into it. Now i have no clue who is doing this and it is gettn really expensive. I would like to know some tips on how to protect my car.

I park it in the driveway, can't park in garage for my old 94 for mustang gt is in there being restored. It usually happens late at night around 4-6 in the morning. Cops aren't really helping out but i mean i am on the low end of their priority list, in which i understand. So i am coming to you guys for help. I am still in the process of getting an alarm and the one i want is 501 dollars installed. But on top of that i need new tires so do u guys have any inexpensive methods on trying to catch this person doing this shit to my car. I just started last week.

    Thanks again
    ~Nick~

Which alarm are you looking into getting? Might I suggest the Viper 791XV? 2-way LCD system, the key remote will beep if the alarm goes off. Not the cheapest alarm, but definately worth it. If you can do alarm installs yourself, it will definately save ya some cash.

          Thats the one I posted...

Responder Systems from Viper are simply the most advanced 2-Way Security and Remote Start systems in the world! The interactive display on the Responder remote confirms all commands - virtually instantly - with easy to understand icons, plus text! It alerts users to security system triggers by beeping or vibrating when out of audible range of the siren. And of course the 791XV and 591XV will start your vehicle with the push of a button, and you'll get confirmation back that it started, from up to one-half mile away! (depending on conditions)

          Viper 791XV (p/n 564V) MSRP $599.99

2-Way Security System / Remote Start System with Responder Technology

          * 6 channel remote start/security/keyless entry system

The only problem with your question is this:

Even with an alarm, it's not going to STOP anyone from doing damage to your car. Sure it'll scare most "amateur" thieves away once they've broken a window and your stuff may stay in the car, but you're still out a window. As for a beer bottle being thrown through the windshield, an alarm will do nothing.

I have had and will always have alarms on my vehicles if for no other reason than it gives me peace of mind. Do I really think it's going to stop anyone if they really want something? Hell no. Do I think it's going to stop someone from stealing the whole car? Yessir, simply because I install all of my stuff and make sure I have extra precautions taken as to where fuses, bypasses, etc are mounted and/or wired.

            Good luck with everything

i agree but with an alarm i will have peace at mind and if i am lucky i might caught this person who is doing so but i still plan on gettin the alarm one way or another.

                mullet got the idea

once your windshield is damaged it is damaged. it should be covered under your insurance depending on which plan you signed up for

i, too am paranoid of thiefs especially when i own the most stolen car in america. i have a few cut off switches wired in series as well as a few dummy switches. i have a battery cut off i'm gonna install soon and going to upgrade to a better alarm as well. i sometimes boot my front tires when its outside

if you want to catch who was vandalizing your car i suggest a surveillance camera hooked up

idk...the only thing you CAN do is just stay awake all night.

id suggest a katana, guns are too loud, expensive and do too much damage. but with a sharp object you can slowly cut their limbs off and then poke em a few times int he stomach so that their intestines come out.

while they are laying there pretty much helpless you can call the cops but make sure you dispose of the sharp objects quickly. the theif/asshole wont be saying much.

so when you hear that alarm go off, prepare to run with katana in hand!

I got the Viper 5000 installed for under 400 and am pretty happy with it. I was originally going with the 791x but to me the remote start and turbo timer is pointless..other than those two things the alarms are exactly the same except for the 100 dollar or so price difference. I also got the viper led which is extremely bright at night, you would have to be blind not to see that thing. It's about one inch by one inch in my windshield and blinks bright blue. I've had several cats set off my pager at night lol, of course I creep out there ready to beat some ass and find nothing. No one has actually set off the full alarm though, just chirped it at most.

Sleep in your car or stay awake waiting for these fucks. Then make sure you immobilize them so you cann call the police and then he can get put away. Orr get some camera's installed around the house or something.

I also have those LED scanners for sale (have them working with the alarm). Great add on - plus you can have them without an alarm (fool people) asking $10 each.

id suggest motion activated cameras...the last thing you want to do is sleep in your car.

uncomfortable plus they can scare you shitless while you are dozing off inside.

sleeping in the car is not THAT bad. ive done it about a dozen times, lol.

he has to learn how to use a katana first tho. just have a knife with you. whichever weapon you choose, its self defense.

but yea, get a camera fo sho.

if you get an alarm, install one of those air horns on it. just have it super loud. i dont think anyone will stick around it that went off, lol.
