The hatch is really the only thing that's a major departure from the original car. That and the paint. not too bad, but 8k is a joke.

It's not a terrible car, but I'd never buy a car with an ad written like that.

If you cannot take the time to properly type a used car ad, I don't believe a word you said in the ad.

I know most people lie in car ads, but when you type like a 3rd grader texting, I assume the worst. Judgemental, sure, but with a purchase like that for that amount of money, I'm not taking any chances.

I agree. Certainly not a heavily modified used car, anyway! If you can't type intelligently, I'm inclined to think you don't have the intelligence to competently modify a vehicle.

In the case of this one... the dude said VTECH. Anyone that has done that much custom work to a Honda, and still says VTECH... there's something seriously wrong! I'd be willing to bet that he bought the car modified, and is now reselling it.

just my opinion guys, I know the dude shelled out dough for his project. Im sure some one might like it, but for 8k or the 15k that was spent on the vigor posted a few days ago, seriously? If you spend more than 2k on a honda from 88-96 you paid too much. I just dont see how any one could be like

" oh yezz babey , diss death trap is the butt sekzz ! " instant jack ass award for any one spending 15k on a 20 year old car. unless you really do make bank like some people do, spending more than 6k on an old car (in total) is just luda, just my opinion though guys.

IMO, these cars are so old now, the only money worth spending on them is for a full restoration.
An old Honda that has been properly restored to factory specs would be worth some money. More than someone's "mad tyte" project.

I know you said it's just your opinion, but I do think that's a huge blanket statement.

Look at any old muscle/enthusiast car from the 60s-70s, they are seeing huge bank these days.

If you were looking for a nice older Honda, anything sub-2K is going to be a beat-up headache, especially in areas with rust. An original desirable model such as a CRX Si, Integra GS-R, Prelude VTEC, etc, I could see pulling quite the premium. I'm not talking about one of those "sat in a showroom" 100 mile cars, but a solid 40-50K driver. Maybe I'm showing my age, or maybe I'm not a broke 18 year old anymore, but if I was looking for an Integra, I'd have no qualms about spending money for a better base car, just because it's less you either have to fix, or less "bad owner junk" you have to undo.

I mean, I was looking for an 89-95 Toyota Pickup a few years back and I spent 6 months looking and paid $3,300 for a solid example, dumped another 3K into it and then had to sell it because the motor needed expensive (> $2,200) repairs. I had looked at plenty of sub-$3,000 trucks and they weren't worth the time I spent to look at them. I considered $5,000 trucks just to get something that was more solid and was in better shape. I sold my truck at a loss for $3,300 in a day. I know for a fact if the motor was solid I could have easily flipped it for over $6,000.

There are plenty of old cars out there that are worth it. It's just what you're willing to pay.
