AAPOQ : 1998 Legacy 2.5 GT LTD

"Beast"
Well I bought this car 9/14/12. All stock/Un-molested. 251000k Miles. $2800/one year warranty on head gasket.
The car doesn't say Limited, but the title does
...
I will get some shots of the interior up pretty soon. This is pretty damn clean inside and out, especially considering age/mileage...

AWD FTW

Earlier this evening I cleaned up my headlights with a meguiars restoration kit...

...
I'll probably work on them some more. Tonight I could see where they needed more attention when I had the lights on...

Nice pick up man, i see these all over the place. Mostly they are beat to shit. This one has high mileage. It looks like it has tons of potential. Good luck man.

Thanks man. I haven't seen any legacy's around here since I bought this
But now that I've driven it for about 400 miles it's having some issues that I'm not very fond of

I think I cracked/warped a rotor the other day after some really tight cornering.
And my right rear wheel squeals like a bitch no matter what.
I also might have some tranny issues. HEADACHES

What type of trannys issues? Do you think it is an internal issue or the computer?

Looks good! The Legacy has always been a very nice looking car, in every generation.
It's a shame it's automatic!
Tranny issues in an AWD automatic car can be rough. Many people don't know how to properly maintain their transmissions, it seems... and when it's AWD, it's even more complicated and expensive to fix! Hopefully it's nothing serious.
The price actually seems quite high for a 15 year old car with a quarter million miles! It's definitely clean for the age and mileage, though.

Thanks man, It's definitely a stylish ride and I love how she handles. And I don't mind the automatic tranny, that way my wife can drive it as a backup....

So as far as the tranny issues go... I've been on Legacy GT forum now for about a week and I don't think the issues are to much of a big deal. Everyone on there say that they are common little gremlins....

And I did KBB the car prior to purchase, I picked it up for about 300 less then what kbb said!

Really? Wow, they must really hold their value!
The hood scoop has always been one of my favorites. So subtle, but it adds such an aggressive look.

I like the whole look and feel of the car lol.
I might see how close the front lip fits from the cb7 if I get bored enough...

I think my main concern now is the rear wheel squeal, probably wheel bearing...

As nice as it is though, I'm finally realizing how nice it would be to buy a newer car.
