kerosene is just a way lower octane....should be able to add some octane booster and run with it...

      disclaimer: this is purely speculation....

run your car to empty, put that mix of death in and then fill it the rest of the way up, should be fine. I don't know for sure but it's your car, lol.

          Obvious troll is obvious?

Where did you mix them? In your car? In a gas can? Why did this happen? How did this happen? Was it purely accidental or was there purpose to it? Im just trying to figure out how you can mistake a container of kerosene for a container of gas. Or was it a "Oops, I accidentally dumped this gallon of kerosene into these 4 gallons of gas.

In all seriousness, if this is in your car, run a thing of BG fuel dryer through it. Dont fuck with Heet or let anyone tell youi that Heet will work. all that will do is leave everything at the bottom of your tank. Run the Fuel Dryer and it might run kinda rough but once it's gone, it'll be gone for good.

The mix is in a gas can. I was filling it for my girlfriend. I assumed the liquid in it was gas, even though it was in a different color can.
We finished filling them, and then she asked me if I had filled a green can. I said yes and she said it was kerosene.

Since it has a lower octane then normal, wouldn't it actually be better to run through kerosene heaters? Or would the has in it mess with the heaters?

Or, just add one gallon to each tank to slowly get rid of it?

I don't know if they'll be that evenly separated.
According to this chart, the kerosene will be heavier than gas, but I don't know if we'll get an even layer to siphon from.

Edit: A PM from Oreelyfool with some useful information.
Since I cannot post in your thread (Newb), I wanted to tell you about keresone since no one else piped in on it. Keresone is almost identical to diesel. That being said, it burns hotter than gasoline. The keresone is also thicker compared to gas so you may have a problem pumping that through your injectors.

The keresone does have a very low octane (I think some where around 25) However if you put this into your car, you will have problems with pre-ingition. Fouling plugs and carbon build up.

Gasoline: 125,000BTU/gal. Flashpoint is -40F <- this is why it evaporates so fast.
                    Kerosene: 135,000BTU/gal. Flashpoint is 100-162F
                    Diesel: 138,000BTU/gal. Flashpoint is 126-204F

Overall I think (if it is in a 5 gallon can) I would scrap the $20 in gas and not take any chances.

Just my opinion but I wanted to add it in there.

So you poured gasoline into a kerosene can? And you're going to use it in a kerosene heater?
