    Photographic Game: Faces!!!

    Ok here are the rules!!!

Go out and take professional pictures of faces! What i mean when i say faces is anything that resembles a face.

It can be a barn, a calculator, or a cb7 part. Anything that you can visualize a face in.

No real faces, no photoshop(except for touchups) and no cell phone pics. The object is to go out and find interesting objects to photograph, build your skills, and learn something. I don't care how good the cell phone camera is, it has to at least be a decent P*S or better.

Please include the .exif data and a brief description of what you see and how you came across finding the idea.

Thats all i can think of for now, Mods if this is the wrong section please feel free to move it.

    So i will begin.

Mine is the aluminum bed of a stapler, you know, an ordinary stapler LOL!

Image Type: jpeg (The JPEG image format)
    Width: 1188 pixels
    Height: 1188 pixels
    Camera Brand: Canon
Camera Model: Canon PowerShot SD790 IS
    Date Taken: 2009:02:02 21:20:41
    Exposure Time: 1/60 sec.
    Aperture Value: 2.97 EV (f/2.8)
    ISO Speed Rating: 160
Flash Fired: Flash did not fire, compulsory flash mode.
    Metering Mode: Pattern
    Focal Length: 6.2 mm

I noticed it while sitting here browsing the web!

    See how easy?

Ok go and find some faces!!!

Not touched up at all. I was looking at this in the wall and turned off the lights and just started messing around until I could hide the fact that this was a really boring picture. I'm not sure how I feel about it, and I haven't been able to duplicate anything similar to that lucky click. I wanted to get rid of the other face coming in from the side.

the outlet was a pretty cool idea. Cropping would take care of the other outlet nicely

Yeah, I also like the picture a lot more on a white background. I wish I had a bettter flash so that I could have gotten a different angle, the pop up flash limited that. Oh well. Just gotta keep my eye out for faces.

try retaking that shot but try to diffuse the flash with wax paper or something slightly translusive. Also there are options on you camera to lower the power output or just underexpose the flash. That should help. a while ago I made my own diffuser for the pop up flash out of the small container you use to store camera film in. Worked great. Just cut out a piece so you can slip it over the pop up flash.

Interesting idea. Yeah, I was actually trying to overdue the flash though, so that it appeared as an all white surface with just a mysterious face in it. That's why I liked it more on a white background.
