pulled the boot off, then used a deep socket over the stud. it lined up flush on the rim of the joint, then i hammered it out. dont remember the size, but its the socket i use for knock sensors

i was going to try a bigger socket and C clamp, hopefully it works. i need to get the front hubs and bearings pressed together anyway, if i need to ill bring the knuckles too.

i got the hubs pressed into the bearings.

bad news about the free sandblasting, apparently their sandblaster is broken, and they wont use their glass blaster on heavy metals such as the knuckles. so i brought everything (4 knuckles, 2 front LCA, 2 front forks, 4 caliper brackets) to QuickStrip in middletown for a price i couldnt pass up on a full sandblast and POWDERCOAT! woohoo! he asked what color, i said any version of black. he said hed use whatever he was using on that particular day... so it may come back gloss black, matte black, satin black... who knows, but i dont really even care. completion date is expected next thursday, so my vacation will come to an end with the car still on jackstands. its all ready to go together tho, its very easy from this point on.

since there will be more downtime, i ordered a can of 80a urethane filler. im going to grind out some of the rear trailing arm main bushings and fill em

im going to go outside and hammer those bushings back into the rear control arms and call it a day since i cant really do anything else, most of my main suspension pieces will be gone for a whole week.

wow i've waited so love to post in members section im finally a member just wanted to say VERY nice car im really likein eveything that you've done to this. But ok one question can you tell me fully how to get rid of my power steering. i got a belt and the pump took off but i got my Beltless reservoir still there doing nothing. i see you got yours moved to the other side and still using not sure how u did it but it sounds more legit then just filling it with grease and jb welding it. Got any pics or anything?

                          thanks man,

if i were going to remove p/s, id remove everything and plug the fittings with JB weld. thats ideally the simplest, most complete removal, as long as theres fluid in there when you put the plugs back in. then theres no lines or anything remaining...

what i did was remove the cooler in front of the car as well as all the metal lines on the sides of the engine bay and run new ones right from the reservoir in the corner to where they need to be. its all just looped right now, with fluid in it... im waiting to get an electric p/s pump, and my lines are all ready for it
