searched around and landed on this thread on honda-tech : http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1154593
it describes my problem exactly and goes into how to replace the ignitor with a solid state circuit... im going to build one, as this ignitor is probably about to die. also, i got a chip from larry with d112crzy's map burned on, im going to put that in too. THEN well see whats up
also, heres some other pictures i took with my cell phone today. the first two are when i was at school. the last few are from when i ran into 1badacc, he was at Friday's with oneoffaccord. i see his super clean coupe right down the street every day, but never met him til today.

i swapped a different ignitor in and the car revs freely up to 8k and feels amazing!!! i pulls very strong but i cant tell for sure because its raining out. i tried the new map and it throws a 41/o2 code, so im back to the original until larry reburns it for me.
so i was driving the car around this morning having a blast, until:::

WHEW!!!!
alright so i went to this local car show w/ some ppl who were disappointed to find out it was only this morning that my car died so i ran back home and found out that it is in fact not getting spark.
sooo i yanked the MSD 6AL and popped the rivets out and took a look inside... one of the transistors is totally fried, like it has a chunk missing... its probably because of water, but cant be sure... i was going to replace just that one component but i couldnt find out what style transistor it was, because its MSD's patented information :\ so i took a few minutes and threw a stock coil in and wired it up and ran back to the meet. it was getting late and dark so i couldnt enter, but the few ppl who saw it seemed to be impressed.
sooo me and chris(isiced) went over to larry's house and took a ride along some awesome back roads to burn those ECU chip at bryans house. this car is so much fun to drive, the brakes are very very responsive, the car carves through turns, and it rips all the way up to 8k. its hard to explain the feel of it, but every time i get done driving it, my heart is pounding. i think chris feared for his life a couple times
we reburned d112crzy's map and it runs the car great. its hard to judge because i had only been REALLY driving the car with the other map for a couple hours. ill swap back and forth and get a feel for the difference.
once we got back to oneoff]s house he took his accord out to run me... we were confined to one lane so i was punching it, running away as fast as i could, yet his headlights were still glued to my rear bumper. his car is FAST, he was easily pulling away from me at 100+. and at those speeds there were ZERO unexplained vibrations or wobbles, even under semi-hard braking. very sturdy and controlled, its fantastic.

yeah man!! today was an great day... it breaks in the morning, but still the same day it fixed and i got to push it as hard as i could for a good while. its the best feeling in the world, being back in this car. youre almost done, and mauricio is right behind us, and he should easily keep up going to show everybody what northeast CB's can do...

Sounds like quite the adventure Mike. Sounds like you NE guys really got something going and once you guys get em back on the road, you'll be a force to be dealt with.

Mike's car is truly undescribable. It makes my car feel slow as shit....
Yeah it handles like a freakin go kart.... My inspiration to commence work on my suspension. Mike definitely made me scared to shit on the turns though but it handled perfectly. I think a couple people might be missing their mailboxes in the morning cause mike was cutting corners so freaking close.
