    Brake Master Cylinder RR @170329

Needed to pump thoroughly due to pesky little air.

Making sure to have this end of hose submerged,,,

Vacuum pump with a tank was used to suck up old fluid. Then used a paper towel to take out the remaining fluid.

Since priming on a bench vise was thorough, almost no air had entered in the system. Flushed old fluid out from each corner.

Noise from front as making turns @170335

Noticed the car was making funny noise with first input on steering wheel as making turns. Checked the reservoir for steering. It seemed low, so added some fluid.

      The noise went away.

        Rusted Holes, Temp Fix @170335

PO had applied silicone to holes. Rust is occurring underneath.

I used a wire wheel to remove silicone and rust. Then applied Ospho to stop rusting.

Then, taped up holes as temporary means.

I think I will use fiberglass to fill the holes when I have more time.

          Brake lamps @170335

          Brake lamps were not working.

Checked the switch and found the bumper is missing.

This should make the lamps lit all the time.

          Checked the fuse.

          Its terminals are corroded.

          Got a replacement.

Pulled other fuses and applied lube.

Got some hardware to use as the bumper.

          Installed.

          Checked the switch.

          Installed.

Now, the lamps work on left side only. Need to check for ground on right side and third lamp next when I have time.
The horn works now. As well as the solenoid for shift lock.

            R/H & Top Brake Lamps @170408

Checked light bulb. Corrosion found and cleaned.

Still, the lights does not work.

            Ground is good.

GRN-WHT wire is a suspect, now.

This connector is sitting on the light assembly. There's voltage coming in this far. Next suspect is the connection into the light sensor.

Pulled the connector and found bad corrosion.

After cleaning the terminals, applied some lube to prevent corrosion.
            Then, hooked up the connectors.

              Starter motor @170502

              Disconnect ground terminal

              Remove air box

Remove power cable and control wire from the starter

              Remove mounting bolts (2ea)

              Extract the starter motor

              Replacement starter motor

Make sure to install a new terminal nipple since the old one was torn as it was removed

                    Bisi Header

If you read one of my threads about it, you know even Bisi could not fix the thing.
It is the best, most expensive dust collector I have in the attic.
I may do something about it when I have enough time, skill and money.

                        R/H Blinkers @170804

R/H blinkers started acting funny. Back one does not blink.
                        Troubleshooting revealed a bad plug.

Replaced it with 9-pin-connecotor from the Shack.

Making sure the correctness of wire arrangements.

Triple checked and connected. The blinker works now, along with other lights in the assembly.

                        Changed this leaky gasket

                        with this.

I wasnt aware that Russel made brake hoses for Accords. I looked into it and was only able to find versions for front disk and rear drum. Meaning that i wouldnt be able to use them with my setup. They are a really nice piece though. great find.

                              Thank you.

Googled "Stainless steed braided brake hoses, 93 Honda Accord" and it led me to either Russell or Goodridge. Russell was DOT approved, and was for less.

                                Radiator cap @170910

After engine shut down, there's funny noise coming from front. It was coolant reservoir, bubbling. Water temp gauge was normal indication.

Assuming it is due to bad radiator cap, I got a new one.

Checking the old one. It sure looks old and was the cause of the bubbling.

It couldn't keep the pressure and the coolant was boiling.

Had couples of drives since the cap replacement. No more funny noise.
