When I bought this car, it had a built H23/H22 frankenstein motor under the hood. The guy had the motor built by Inline Pro based in northern VA and he had stripped the interior, disabled ABS, stripped the A/C and P/S and some more stuff cause he wanted to drag race it. He could never get the motor running due to the wiring so I picked it up for a good price. I pulled the built motor which I have sitting around and installed the F22A4 out of my first Accord in it which I now use as my daily driver. I pulled the interior and a few other parts off of the wrecked 91 EX which I swapped over to this one so it's pretty much back to stock spec.
Future Plans
I'm probably gonna add all the bolt-ons that I have laying around:
strut bars
tie bar
intake
F22A6 goodies
CB7Tuner.com decals
etc.
I don't plan on any serious mods for this car since all of my money for performance will be going towards the race project. Keepin this one plain and simple
Here it is in the guys yard when I went to go pick it up:
Been sitting for a few too many months...dirty as hell!!!
and here's after I got my hands on it:
Almost 100% back to stock spec. This is how it will pretty much stay for the rest of the time I own this car. I'll add a few bolt-ons and that's it.
And here's the H22A pulled from my gold one and the H23/H22 sittin side by side.
I don't any more up to date pics yet, but the car has cleaned up nicely. I have a few small body repairs to make and a few more interior changes, but it's starting to look like the clean daily driver I want it to be. I just recently snapped an axle in it (maybe I shouldn't dump the clutch as much) but that's been taken care of and the motor/tranny run excellent despite the 270,000 mi. they have on them. With daily trans. taken care of, all of my attention is now going towards the race project. Wish me luck and I'm sure I'll post plenty of questions/new discoveries frequently.
