me testing out a P13 w/ a JUN spec chip

this is kinda crappy quality, my friend in the back seat took it with his phone, but you can see that the chip has a crazy high rev limiter so i was able to shift up at ~8k, and vtec engaged at 5800... ran the car pretty well i took stills from it and put it in my sig.

Nice, the screen was too little tho. How much of a difference was there with the chip?

idk, ive been running a P14 (h23) ECU, so i have no VTEC and the engine feels weak.... till i can afford a P28 w/ eeprom burner (asked for em for christmas )

only significant noticable things were like an digustingly high rev limit (over 9k i believe) and a 5800 vtec kick-in. butt dyno approves of the ECU, only you need to shift up at 8k to keep the motor in VTEC.

compared to a stock P13, im not sure, i havent felt one in a while i went to mayberry's shop and borrowed this chipped P13 from one of the customers cars thats in the process of getting an h22 (dark blue 9293 sedan, full xenon kit, gen 1 altezzas, projectors). me, eric (mayberry4thgen) and my friend justin were givin the car a nice workout on the back roads, burnt up like a third of a tank of gas in total. the stiff mounts feel great btw, i recommend it to anyone considering it!

        it!
I stay at vtec at 7500 all day. If your car aint tunned ur better of stock i used a mugen, feels, and skunk 2 all ready and i think i down grade it. U got to rember them chips r average figures and not tune right for every car. Also u lose power shifting at 8 or 8200 on a stock motor with stock valve springs lol.

mike, the only reason why it drops out of vtec when i shift at 7500 is because when you shift, it drops the RPMs to below the new "jun" vtec kickin point of 5800... overall, i didnt like the ECU very much, i just liked burying the tach it wasnt my ecu, i was just borrowing it.

justin - im getting a P28 and ill be chipping it, so ill be able to get a full size vid in a while. sorry bout the crappy quality cell phone vid :\

It probably feels so great because you haven't had the correct ECU for so long. You really shouldn't shift so high, you really run a risk of floating the valves with the stock valve train.

You forget those progams are written for the tuners fully built engines. The JUN all-motor H22 revs 9K+ so a Vtec at 5,800 is normal. My Vtecs at 5,400+ now with my Skunk2 Stage2's any lower and the car won't run right.
