ugh... my parents are having the kitchen redone, which included removing the radiator to install some new heating thing. anyhoo they left the radiator outside, with a shitload of sheetrock stacked up against it. and look at the beautiful sight i came home to today.

im pissed, i bought this set of JDM's on ebay a while back, they were in pristine condition, that ive had them covered with clear GTS covers to protect them from any scratches. apparently they dont protect from hundreds of pounds of dead weight landing directly on them.

the passenger cover shattered into a bunch of pieces, and ive got nice dents along the front edge of my hood. a few big scrapes into the JDM plastic, but fortunately they didnt crack! the plastic lense actually got pushed back enough to scrape against the reflector inside.

i think its funny, though, that the entire radiator and everything landed directly onto the passenger headlight. 1" further back, it wouldve landed on the hood. 1" forward, it would have torn my bumper right off.

i want to pull it off of my car so i can assess the final damage, but this is WAYYY to heavy to move, its even extremely difficult for 2 people.

who would put something like that near a car? do you have contractors working on your house? its tall and heavy and not very wide and with stuff stacked against it its likely to fall, even if your driveway is 100% leveled. hope the damage isn't too bad and you can fix it. i hate when stupid shit like that happens to cars.

well it was just the radiator for the past few weeks, and it was so heavy that it wasnt going anywhere, and had no chance of falling over. and hooray, last night is when they stacked all of the sheetrock against it, the day before today when we were expected to have high winds.

and no its not a contractor, its a friend of my parents doing most of the work, with my dad assisting.

Ouch.. thats gotta hurt you. Hey for the scratches on ur JDM lenses, try using those lens fillers that they use on eyeglasses when they get scratched. I dont know what its called, but its one of those "As seen on TV" things. Give it a shot, maybe it'll look perfect again, if not, then hopefully better than what they look like now.

cant even do that. i had tried moving it before it had any sheetrock against it, and i couldnt even budge it.

but then again, im not a very large guy.

my dad just got home and we pulled it off of my car. my hood has a couple gouges along the leading edge, but it isnt bent.

my headlight lense survived, but he housing behind it didnt, it cracked in a couple placed, and it actually bent the top of the radiator support from pushing the headlight back about a 1cm. couldve been worse, but still sucks.

now i gotta add a set of headlights to my ever growing list of debts.
