alright this past weekend was scheduled as one of the official Mike and Mauri swap weekends
heres how it went down:
mauri (excalibur02) and i both worked saturday morning, and he showed up at my house at 3pm. we just hung out for a while, ate, then went out to start at 5:30. we pulled out mauri's h22 (with the m2y4 USDM h22a4 non-LSD tranny) and set it on a pallet. pulled the tranny off and stuck my old M2B4 (JDM h22a LSD) back on after cleaning it up a bit. then we pulled off his intake manifold and pulled it all apart to clean it and redo all of the gaskets (he had a surging idle), also installed one of those phenolic intake mani gaskets. pulled out the axles, which you can see were in horrible shape. we packed up for the night at 11pm, and headed down to doctorcipher's house for some birthday partying came home around 5am and passed out.
sunday morning, we woke up at 11am and ran some errands, went to perkins for breakfast, then stopped at oneoffaccord's house just to check out what he was up to (the man is great with the paint gun ), then came home to start working again at 330pm. put mauri's motor back in, put the new axles in, buttoned everything up with new fluids and started it up. drove his car out of the way and parked my old 93 EX sedan (auto h22) next to the garage. we then pulled that motor out and put it on a rolling dolley, put the wheels back on the car, then pushed it back onto the grass to get it out of the way. and now it sits and waits for minoreparations to come to my house so we can throw it in his car we cleaned up the garage, packed everything up, and finished at 11pm. he drove his car back home and he said he felt some yummy LSD vteck powa!!!111 and finally, the idle problem was fixed.
its purely coincidental that we put in 13 hours of work (again). all of this work was done with normal hand tools. we pulled out my air compressor (you can see it in some later pics) because we broke our only two breaker bars on the axle nuts on my sedan, but the compressor ended up not even working, the power lines in my garage overheated and i had to turn it off. so the compressor has gone back into storage, waiting until the day i can get off my lazy ass and redo the garage wiring
anyway on to the pics!
