    ACCORDianate's EDM rear plate surround

    new pic on page 2

Before and after pics of the EDM/UKDM rear license plate surround from UK_accord installed.

When I took off the USDM one I found a junebug in there that crumbled when I touched it. I wonder how many years it was there?

The pegs/clips that make the inverted triangular shape slide up and down. If you're going to install your own, I suggest not sliding them all the way down; that way you can get the pegs in the holes, and then push the surround up into place under the lip of the deck lid.

There were no holes drilled into the EDM/UKDM plate surround, so I ended up using 1.25"x8" strips of hook-and-loop fastener with the ultra-sticky backing to keep my license plate in place since I didn't want to put holes into it.

At any rate, I'm sure I'm the only one in North Texas with one of these rear plate surrounds. w00t!

That looks a hell of alot easier than just doing a whole trunk conversion. Nice work though

Any chance that would mount on a coupe?

extremely unique, but i dont like the extra gap on either side of the plate now... but good job on doing it, nobody else has whats it look like with the plate put on, and how much did that run you?

I'll see what I can do about getting a pic with the plate.

It ran me $70, and was the original one off of UK_Accord's car when he put on a USDM plate surround. It even came the teal color that I almost didn't want to spray over.

What I think possibly could look cool.

Have you ever seen on some Euro cars that have the oversized plate holders, they place a Euro plate under the US one? Just a thought.
