Ok when i was putting the gauge cluster back in i broke the clear protective plastic cover that covers the guages. Can this be replaced if i go to the junkyard a and find a new one ? Can i order one from a dealer?

there were different companies that manufactured the gauge clusters for our cars, and each one clips on a different way. the manufacturer is printed on the far bottom edge of the speedometer... ive seen DENSO, RS, and uh... something else i forget. if you find a matching one at a junkyard, it should pop right on.

The filter isn't glued to the back of the gauges or anything, they are made into the plastic.

You, my friend, are clearly insane.

uummm mike, its down again i was almost done too, for the climate control i just had to add the extra row for the pictures to light up but am not sure wether or not to use the 3mm or the 5mm leds as well as how high mount them.

                        blah... sorry about the pics.

i used 3mm leds for everything. and it doesnt matter how low or high you mount them, they will still light the buttons up fine... but you need to mount them low enough so they dont hit the buttons, of course.

yyooowww i just dropped the soldering iron on my pants lol!!!! That would be cool, the only ones that i need are for the knobs and where you soldered it to the board, thanks man i really appreciate it.

edit: By the way, you know on the climate control where you have 2 wires coming out that has a bulb at the end that i believe lights up the image above th knob? how the hell do you get that off?
