    ENG: Urethane Motor Mount installation

So i didnt see a urethane motor mount DIY. And ive had this for a long time. Mad props to the guy who did it. I used it.

*NOTE* dont use window weld..... it does not hold up as long as liquid Urethane....

This is where you buy it... all info is on the first web page.

Is there any SOFTER formula? I dont want excess vibrations in the car, but i would like just a LITTLE extra stiffness/insurance tha my mounts wont break.

also- is there an EASY way to remove the rear mount, and how can i tell that it's bad???

    thanks again.
    Noobie my ASS.

easiest way to get to the rear mount i've found is taking off the intake manifold

That's awesome. I've never heard of anything like that. Did you like the results on your car? Is it too much rougher than stock?

Well mine is pretty ruff, vivrates alot, but i dont mind it... the only reason that i would go to soft is that it might be to SOFT like the window weld shit, that is way to soft

they have some softer formulas though...

heard from a dsm guy that Lee & Kates has a very strong polyurethane blend that they sell. He said he'd done the diy and had the poly-blend on there for over a year with absolutely no probs or soft characteristics

my engine moves alot! i have all new mounts and when i rev the engine the engine really likes to go up and down. the mounts are fine but the rubber is just flexable.

i revved some accords and they dont even move....there is only a few that move like mine. iono why...all ALL my mounts are brand new. just put them in last year.

i donno about more vibration at 1500 rpm...iono kinda wheery....i just dont want alot of pressure on my rear mount. that shit blew out and costs alot.
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

...So which one did you guys (any of you) use?

                              80 Shore A Durometer - 1lb resin/hardener - p/n 8644K11

                              or

                              94 Shore A Durometer - 1lb resin/hardener - p/n 8644K18

I was thinking about doing this. But I wanted to buy ALL of the mounts new and fill them. That way i can drive my car while they dry for a week. Then I could just slap all of them in the same day.
