Does anyone know how to check if the ECU is faulty? I use to get CEL codes and did a little tweak (replaced my dizzy) and the blinking is gone. Now the check engine light turns on for a few seconds and then turns off. I tried to check if my ECU is still good by disonnecting some of the sensors like the temp/coolant sensor, but I dont get any CEL code. Is that a bad sign?Sky rockets in flight..... afternoon deeeelight!!

Eventhough my car has never given me a CEL , today I decided to pull codes (stored codes) for the heck of it. I jumped the wires on the blue connector and turned the switch to 2. The CEL came on but never went out even after I waited a minute or two. I then started the car (jumper still on) and the same thing happenend.
What does that mean?1992 Accord Coupe 5-Speed

when jumped, if theres no codes stored, the CEL will stay on solid. disconnecting the jumper will return the CEL to an off state. this doesnt mean you have a faulty ECU, unless:
when the CEL is on and you jump the connector to pull the code and the light doesnt flash at all, thats a sign of a faulty ECU.
