    well thats lower spark plug tower seals....its not uncommon for our cb7's at this age.

    u put new ones by removing the rocker arm...
    What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

    You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

            That job took me about an hour. It isn't hard but you may need more tools than you have, ie. torque wrench.

            Get the manual for the car and follow the directions for tightening the bolts on the lifters.

            Getting the lifters off isn't tough. An extra pair of hands to hold them up while you put in the new O rings makes it easier and faster. Just get a complete valve lifter cover gasket set.

                This job needs to be done on my F22a4, three of four cylinders last I checked had this issue and it started off with only two. I have all the parts which I ordered from www.hondaautomotiveparts.com and they been sitting around til I get this job done. There isn't much to it, you should replace the valve cover gasket, grommets in the valve cover if need be, the upper and lower spark plugs tube seals while you are there...it's all cheap so why not prevent further probs ya know.

                lower tube seals, part # 19 - $2.39 x 4 = $9.56

                upper tube O-ring, part # 4 - $1.88 x = $ 7.52

                valve cover gasket, part # 3 - $5.89

                TOTAL = $22.97 + $4.95 handling fee + shipping

                compare this price to Honda Dealer or PM Kabuki for these parts he has access to Honda OEM parts and usually has competitive prices, shipping included.

                  You can buy the cheep kind for about ten bucks. They will lend it to you for a big deposit but make sure it has the lower range of torque you need, I think it is around 16 foot pounds. They lend the big ones. It started at 25 lbs as the smallest amount.

                    You can purchase the FelPro VCG set with plug rings and lower plug tube seals for about $16-$18 at AutoZone.

                    Be careful you don't split your acorn nuts on top.

                      I ment a torque wrench for ten bucks. You can find gaskets on line that are stock for cheeper than the dealer.

                          I need to do this job to my CB7, but im too scared to mess with the rocker assembly. I dont want to mess anything up in there, then im really fucked. I called a Honda-Acura shop and they are chargin me....$486 ...WTF shouldnt be that hard to do this job, im just a noob when it comes to engine labor. I did the Valve cover and upper tube seal gaskets myself, but it didnt solve the problem.

                            the rocker arm assy isnt anything to be scared of... theres a proper loosening/tightening sequence, i guess to make sure nothing gets warped... but when its all unbolted, the whole thing lifts off as a whole, you can just set it aside, do what you need to do, and put it back on as a whole.
