    Trans Swap question

Ok, so my trannie grinds hard. Im planning on buying a used trannie at a junkyard to through in. I have the A6 motor completely stock. Is there a different trannie, maybe a prelude or something with different gear ratios that would be smart to run? I like good acceleration. I dont mind the EX trannie but it isn't exactly what I want. Any ideas? I just don't know much about the differences...

    Thanks in advance...

your top end is going to suck with an H tranny.

youd probably be happy with an H23 transmission instead of an h22 one. still easy enough to find in yards, not too expensive, and it makes f22s definitely feel peppier. the gearing is shorter than the F ones, but not as short as the h22.

no mods. required besides tranny mount (if 5speed, auto's no prob, just straight drop-in)
