I am pretty sure this is the cause to my surging problem, but just wanted to get a second opionion.
This all started happening after I did a head job on my car (H22). during warm up the car surges between 1500-2000.
When the car warms up, there is still suring when im in neutral, although, sometimes it will hold a steady idle but way to high (1500)
I checked and double checked my coolant level and made sure there was no air in the system, the idle screw has no effect. Didn't bother to check my IACV because I am almost certain the FITV is the culprit.
I believe it is the FITV because I followed the procedures for checking the working order of the valve in the Honda service manual and sure enough, after the car is fully warmed up, the FITV is still sucking air through the lower port in the TB.
One question I do have is how does a FITV go bad out of no where
everything was working perfectly fine before my head job, but now it seems that the FITV is done. Why is that?
Thanks for any help in advance.
