Bad wheel bearing - symptoms?

One of the more obvious symptoms are a hum coming from the wheel. Plus it gets gradually louder as you accelerate. ITs pretty noticeable. Plus your wheel sits a bit odd if I recall.

hum on deceleration, light to moderate grinding sound.
most obvious method of testing is jack up that car, and see if theres play in the wheel. if you can move it around as if the lug nuts were a few threads loose, the bearing is bad. the brake rotor will move along with the wheel.

What Mike said....YES...that is IF its really bad off....Mike come on...you of all people should be MORE detailed! JUST KIDDING....just pickin' on yah Mike...but yeah..what he said is a detailed sign of serious wheel bearing problem...
NOW, theres another wheel bearing notice:
its like a buzzing sound...grinding/buzzing.....( kinda like you put a playing card in the spoke of bicycle ) THAT SOUND....
I had that sound in my 4th Accord..( Automatic EX )....and I was looking for HUMMING rather than Buzzing...
but yeah...ANY noise..loose feeling....check your wheel bearings.
CPMike...you know I gotta Pick on yah

this is what my front wheels are like these are clearly bad bearings.
if a wheel is loose like this, it is either the bearing or balljoint(s). easy to tell which if you just pay attention while youre moving it.

Im sure its my wheel bearings because ive had a few people tell me its that....thing is 2 of them say its the rear wheels....but i dont hear the sound from in the rear...sounds like its up front...
this all started when i had the ITR wheels put on....they had to take the studs out and replace with longer ones to accomodate the 5mm spacers so i wouldnt have to worry about lugs backing out...
ever since then i get a buzzing sound from the front and i can almost "feel" the sound through the brake when im slowing down....especially at a high rate of speed....
so how expensive are these wheel bearings(hub assem correct?) and how easy is it to do because im tired of listening to it.
Is it safe to assume it will cause damage if left untreated for an extended period of time?!

Wheel bearings are CHEAP...no more than $60 a piece...if you go OEM ( HONDA PARTS )
but you could get em cheaper if you get em from Autozone ...Advance Auto...or any other auto parts store...
YES, it will create additional problems if you dont replace it.....( causing stress on other suspension parts due to it being loose...the other parts have to compensate for that wheel bearing being bad...BAD THING ).
get it replace ASAP!
what i normally do....ask my girl ....she'll tell you...
say one side is causing me problems...I almost 95% of time change the other side as well...to prevent premature headache.
EXAMPLE:
driverside CV joint is bad.....time to change...I change both sides..to keep a clear head that I know I have brand new axles on both sides!
thats just me!

Yea I forgot to mentione the 12 o clock and 6 o clock position. If you can move it back and forth like that you got a bad wheel bearing.

How long do these things last!? Like can i get one from a junkyard or am i better of going brand new?
Damn i think thats it....my problem lies in installation.....this would be a semi big job, to me only because they have to be pressed on....i also need the time...i work alot of shifts so its hard for me to find the time to do major work and not be exausted already and have the money/parts...lol....
but this has gotta be fixed...i miss the noiseless cb i used to own

Majestics Honda or the dealership!..I really dont trust cheaper parts...
but thats just me!
NOTE: I have a better and more confident feel in OEM parts rather than aftermarket!
Oh yeah...when you get the chance and extra money up....upgrade all your bolts to grade 8 or stronger! ...thats what Im gonna do over a period of 3 years...replace every single bolt with grade 8 or stronger!...so that way I know my CB7 WILL NOT FALL APART92 LX.
