    removing crank pulley

    no, this isnt another one of those "how do i get the bolt out" threads: my question is, how do you get the pulley itself out? theres no room for it to slide off, it just hits the inner fender. or is this only a problem for h22-accord owners?

    u may have to drop the engine down a bit by taking out the front and side mounts and supporting the engine by the oil pan with a wooden block and hydraulic jack. Lower it down far enough to slide the pulley off.

      ahhh, thats what i figured... im not taking my own pulley off just yet, but it was while i was at steves house that i wondered... we put the motor in without tightening the pulley yet, so i had the opportunity to try removing it once it was in the bay... and im like WTF... do you need to lower the motor to get it out? thanks for the info, its just what i needed

        Here's the quick solution:

        1. Remove the motor mount next the timing belt cover.

        2. Have someone stand on the motor toward the timing belt cover side, while you shimmy the pulley off.

        FYI: The compresser pulley might hit the wall. In that case, you have to loosen the compresser from the block.
