HELP! power steering and altenator belts came off

ok so today i was driving my 92 cb7 comming home and i reved high on 1st comming out of an intesection, so my battery ligh comes on and i feel my steering wheel becomes harder to turn, so i figured i must have broken the belts, i was close to my house so I drove it to my house and parked, i poped the hood and i see that the belts were out of place but still in the engine bay, at 1st i though they were broken, but they werent. then i noticed that the crank pulley was kind of loose so i grabed a 19mm socket i tried to turn it but the srew was still very tight, so i put the belts back on but im not sure if this is suppose to be like this so i didnt start the car, did the pulley get screwed up? or is this normal? pleasehelp me out cause i need the running, thanks in advance.

the crank pulley is in two pieces, sandwiched together by a layer of rubber. its possible it dried out and broke at that seam, which would make the outer pulley break loose from the center & bolt.

take a closer look, the big plastic splash guard under the front of the car comes off with only a few 10mm bolts, and itll let you look at the crank pulley to see what happened.

have you verified that the pulley is actually at fault?

theres one on ebay, or u can get it at a parts store.

put something into one of the spark plug holes to fill the chamber to the point that the piston would get stuck, stop turning, and let you loosen the bolt rope, gravel... lol

theres an extra rib on 5th gen pullies, which i guess wouldnt be a problem. may also be a bit smaller but im not positive
