i could have sworn when we changed the timing belt it reverse threaded and its torqued down pretty good. we tried using a impact wrench and it wouldnt loosen it up but a mechanic told os to put a breaker bar on the crank and have it secured against the body and turn the igniton to turn the starter, which had enough tourque to break it loose, im reffering to the bolt on the crank pulley inside the stop sign shaped opening

yeah we tried everything then my stepdad bought a new impact wrench and still didnt do anything so we asked a mechanic at a local garage and he told us to use the torque of the starter which works everytime (but i asked him and it wasnt reverse treaded sorry i thought it was) my engine is a 91 f22a4 with a auto transLast edited by h22accordr; 05-16-2004, 11:19 PM.
