well my ECU through a cod 15 which is Ignition output signal. how/where do i check this?

usually the ignitor. the chip inside of the distributor with 4-5 pins & wires coming off of it. do you have a repair manual? it should explain how to test it, or if you have a spare one, just throw it in.

i took the cap off of my dizzy and there is a black plastic piece behind the rotor, do i have to take the rotor off to get the plastic cap off? does the rotor pop right off? sorry if my questions are stupid, i just started learning ignition systems in school today.new ride
