    Driving with no air intake?

Yeah some dick stole my CAI while my car was sitting on the side of the road, before I could afford a tow.

So I can probably have my car back on her feet today at the earliest. But I have no intake, the fuckers on Ebay havent shipped my cheapo intake yet.

Can I drive it without an air intake? What can go wrong?

yeah you can drive on it. it'll just be loud but yes put some kind of filtration over the throttle body to prevent crap from entering the motor. you will have less torque but it'll be driveable.

the hood wont close all the way, the metal around the corner light got pushed up in the impact so the hood wont latch down all the way. im going to like, ductape the hood down or something.

That really sucks man, put some sort of a fine mesh material over it for now.

I stuck a cut-up dish rag that's thin enough to let air flow freely over it and strapped it to the intake thingy with one of the steel bands that used to go on the CAI. The rag won't cathc on fire or anything, will it? I know it gets pretty hot in the engine bay... Just a newbie who's concenred about his baby

eh I did that and the part of the sock that was left hanging got sucked inside the TB, and my accelerator got hung on it, lol. I was testing it out while it was parked, though. So I used the dishrag instead and it should work fine.

naw, nothing would go wrong have no intake on their, like the guys said just put a sock, not you personal one though, lol. actually you might eaven pick up a extra horsepower due to the maximum airflo.
