    Rubber CV Boots Suck !!!

Goodness Gracious, God All Mighty !!!

I was gonna post this in OT .. seeing as its not an issue, but rather a rant!
Tho someone might search, and it wont be found .. thus posting here ..

With that being said .. We took the CB7 up on a rack today, to try and locate a leak
that was not to be found anywhere in my brake system .. however ..
As I do everytime the CB7 is *up* .. I walked around underneath to have a gander ..
What I found .. pissed me off more then I can explain!

My CV boots were not ripped, torn, or punctured .. they were blown up !!!
Like a fawkin bomb went off inside of them .. took me 15 min to clean the grease
offa the surrounding parts .. GRrrrrr .. I find this to be one of my main concerns
with the FWD Honda Accord CB7. Why oh why, do they keep exploding? This has to be
the 3rd time in 5 years! Are there any better boots other then OEM? Ok, I din think so ..

What about a company that makes an aftermarket boot, with a different material?
I'm sick a this shit .. great car .. love it to death .. but the front ends on these things
are a PIA to get anything to last .. or even work on for that matter ..
If there are better boots then OEM .. tell me who makes them, where I can get them,
and what kina service you've got out them .. please .. anybudy, sumbudy ..

    Carbon Fiber Boots FTW !!!

I'm plan on getting the RWD honda accord myself. j/k

Its a problem on civics as well, its pretty common for cv boots to get torn on hondas, but it sounds like you're having more trouble than usual. I've had mine on for almost three years without issue, although I got all new axles to quell the issue. I have some I put away in storage if you want em. I ordered them online, but when I went to have them put on my mech said its this much for boots and only this much for new axles so I said wtf throw those bad boys on hehe.

on the stairs, she grabs my arm, says whats up,
where you been, is something wrong?
i try to just smile, and say everything’s fine.

Um yep .. they are the correct *legnth* .. I din even know there were different lengths ..
between years (from 90-93) however, I'm sure they are indeed the ones for my car.
