My "fresh" air smells like piss.

Well ever time I put the climate control on fresh air instead of recirculate, the air smells like straight up piss. I've never disasembled a accord before, so does anyone know where the air filter is located? any tips on changing it?

there was a thing on the INT air filter...there aint one. if there is its unreachable...i think. Mine stinks sometimes....something i just lived with

There is no cabin air filter on the accords. There is prolly mildew in the ducting system, and thats what smells.

that was happening to my moms jetta, the dude at whatever shop suggested pouring a bit of bleach into the intake vent every couple weeks. it actually kinda worked... the intake vent is the inside of the black plastic panel around the wiper arms, the grille part of it. look in and ull see the intake vent. it could be mouldy leaves/dirt...

That might be it. Ill give bleach a try(if that doesn work, ima spray fabreeze in there lol) My CRX didnt have a filter for fresh air either, but thought the Accord would.

the accord didnt get it til the 6th gen, and even then is someone DID piss into your intake between the hood and windshiled the filter would not help....

I would pull a "homeless pete".
Whats a homeless pete you ask? Well youll need to:
Go #2 in the back seat of there car then...
Put a couple layers of newspaper over it.
If they smell it they will look around and notice the newspaper.
If they notice the newspaper they will try and move it... wiping the fecies all over the backseat.

What a nice way to good morning. =]

Alright I pulled the cover off and sprayed bleach in there directly. My mom had some scented bleach, but the air now smells like regular bleach; better than smelling like piss. Thanks guys.

(Type G's altiod trick) one thing i've done was buy a pack of altoids and some pantyhose(black). i took the altoids out of the contianer and put them in the pantyhose. then i took off one of the vents and one of the bezel screws and hung it from the screw. it worked pretty good, more so when you used the HVAC. anyone who rode in the car said, ''where's that comming from?'' later.
Yeah now what flavor to get...
