need serious help with leaks/clutch pedal/engine...

Yeah so i did my stock f22 swap. what a bitch.

The car revs up and down. all vaccum lines are perfect.

The car leaks all shit from under the thermostat housing. idk if its hte intake manifold or what.

    the exhaust is white smoke.

the engine was perfect in the other car so idk what the problem is. I did have to switch manifolds though.

and the clutch pedal is all the way to the floor, i tryed to bleed the clutch and no luck. IDK what to do.

    HELP ME SOMEONE

White smoke sounds like your getting water into your intake somehow. Not sure where that would come from. What is it leaking ? oil, antifreese ? I know nothing about the clutches. BTW where's my parts ? !! ( not in a big hurry for them seeing i broke my hand ) Just dont forget about me.. did you replace the intake manifold gasket ?

if your leaking coolant and you switched manifolds it might the the o ring that goes fromt he waterpimp to the thermostat housing, that is if your swtiched the necks,

for the clutch make sure you don't have any leaks and top off the fluid, you have to bleed it several times to get pressure and all the air out

Ill take a look tommrow or something

I bet its leaking from the intake manifold

I used that silcone gasket maker that cpmike uses.
        and it failed I guess

For the water pipe O-Ring use vaseline.

Did you use a gasket too, or just the gasket maker. If it's the later, you're more retarded than I had thought.

The idle problem is the IACV. Search and Dr love will have a DIY on it. That is all.

EDIT: If you didn't use a gasket, you have a vacuum leak. FOR SURE.

                whoa.. whats up eric.

anyway wayne - when u had the manifold off, did you completely clean the old gasket off and put a new one on? coolant may be leaking from the coolant port on the intake manifold flange, and leaking into the intake runners... thermostat housing like eric said, sealant on the oring, ive never used vaseline but id imagine it would work well. surging idle is probably due to a leaking intake manifold-to-head gasket..

mike, yes i cleaned the old gasket off. unless i missed some. So today im going to take it all apart and I just got a new gasket for it that im going to put on.

Now the bad news. I put water in the radiator temporary since i didnt have coolant. just to make sure i didnt have any leaks which i did.

Now since coolant well, water got into the IM will it fuck anything up? Im going to replace it at 3pm today so hopefully it will be fine.

I got a felpro gasket from autozone ill be putting on.

god i just want a car that runs dammit.

Oh and the AC braket is totally diffrent on a 92 accord. I had to switch brackets to make the AC compressor fit.

water in the intake runner is no big deal, but it getting sucked into the head and into the combustion chamber is bad.. if its a little bit itll just burn out, but if its too much itll hydrolock end bend rods... i wouldnt drive it to be honest... take that manifold back off, dry it out (also the port in the head, paper towel dry it) and then put it back together nice and clean with teh new gasket, with a thin layer of gasket maker on each side.

on old dirty motors, you ahve to pay extra attention to seals and gaskets, and making sure you seal them as well as possible, because everythings old and prone to leaking.

You finish up bleeding that clutch? It takes a damn while especially when its been out for a while...I opened the main bolt on the top of the trans to bleed for a couple then used the slave that somewhat sped it up. And as mentioned if it happened after the IM swap I would pull it off and clean it as mentioned. You said you cleaned the gasket off the IM but did you clean off the mating surface also?
