once the new one is in, dont immediately try to start the car. turn the key to ignition, but dont crank it... wait 3 seconds, turn it off. repeat 1 or 2 more times, THEN start it. doing this lets the fuel pump fill up the new filter before trying to run the motor, otherwise youll be cranking it over for a while waiting for fuel to get to the injectors.

Peep...if you end up breaking it...all you have to do is get a pipecutter..and some Fuel line hose...the GOOD SHIT..( I cant stress that enough )..take and cut some of the broken pipe off the LONG piece using the pipecutter..( small vise with Round cutter blade )..make sure you have hose clamps.( small ones )..I would suggest getting a 5/16" hose that supports 130psi...just to be safe...you will need 2 clamps..then proceed to slide the hose over both broken pieces...tighten both ends..and ABRACADABRA...your broken line is fixed....

I had to fix a line RECENTLY!

so like everyone is suggesting...use caution..and work slow...DO NOT RUSH...and remember to use PROPER size tools!! ( line wrench )

Good luck on doing that EASY task!!

OT, but mine had a studder as it fired up. It just needed a new distributor cap and rotor. The rotor was fried on most of its surface.

I couldn't get the lines loose on mine either. I was also afraid of messing up the lines, so I had my mechanic do it.
I may be changing it again soon, but I should be able to do it this time around.
