"BRAKE" and "ABS" lights came on today

WTF??? I think I'm due for a pad change possibly; but when I apply the brakes there is still decent pressure which isn't usually the case when the pads are low. Plus it's not making that grating low pad noise. What's the deal?

it takes about 5 minutes to pull the wheels off and check the pads so let us know! and just take a look at the ABS sensors while your in that area

What should I look for when checking the ABS sensors in particular? And if my fluid is low does that mean I might have a leak somewhere? I've been looking to get SS brake lines anyway.

Not really. Sometimes it just leaks out of the MC reservoir or its always been low.

mmmm, yes. thats why i did.

if you take the wheels off to check the pads, pull the sensors out (two 12mm each) and clean them off, and clean off the "bumpy rings" at the ends of the front axles.
