tranny codes 1,2,3,7,8 and 14 anyone else throw these?

What's going on everyone. Picked me up another daily driver that is not starting and has not spark. Checking engine light is solid (i jumped it to get a code, but I am not getting anything). The only codes that I am throwing are the TCU (tranny) codes D4 is blinking the following codes 1,2,3,7,8 and 14. I was wondering if anyone has thrown any of these codes before and if so what did you guys ever have the car not start? (no spark)?

I doubt that the tranny would cause the engine to have no spark, but I've checked all the fuses, I swapped out both the ECU and TCU and I am still getting the same codes. I swapped out the distributor and the ignitor and still no spark. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    What I have checked
    -fuses
    -TCU
    -ECU
    -Distributor
    -Battery
    -External Coil

    Thanks

Been doing some reading. Code 14 from the tranny points to a problem with the PGM-FI. If the PGM-FI throws a code then the car will have no spark. So - has anyone ever throwing a code 14 on there [S] or [D4] ?

if the CEL stays solid doesn't that mean the ECU is bad?

edit: jsut read you swapped it out, disregard my last comment and good luck with it all!

          hey patty..try the ...

          heres a link
          http://autorepair.about.com/library/faqs/bl685a.htm

          CODE LIST:

1-Lock-up solenoid 'A' circuit open or shorted.
2-Lock-up solenoid 'B' circuit open or shorted.
3-Throttle Position Sensor circuit open or shorted.
4-Vehicle Speed Sensor open or shorted - No signal from speedometer.
5-Shift Lever Position Switch circuit shorted.
6-Shift Lever Position Switch circuit open.
7-Shift Solenoid 'A' circuit open or shorted.
8-Shift Solenoid 'B' circuit open or shorted.
9-Counter shaft or transmission speed pulse generator open or shorted.
10-Coolant Temperature Sensor open or shorted.
11-Engine RPM (Ignition coil signal) open or shorted.
          12-(No code 12 used)
13-Main shaft speed pulse generator open or shorted.
14-Linear (line pressure control) solenoid open or shorted.
          15-Kick down switch circuit shorted.

maybe try and swap it in for a good tcu(since your having so many tcu codes, before rebuilding the tranny. at what point does the car start driving bad? when car warms up? as soon as you take it out of park? driving at a certain speed? let us know the clearer and more symptoms the easier to diagnose.

any codes of 10, 11, would be suspect of pgm-fi problem i think. if you search alot of folks on here have had the same exact code sequence as you describe.
id swap it out with a known good one.

link below is for same problem from past

I'm assuming you've check the connectors to all those solenoids and TPS because of the code numbers. Besides all that there is a serious short somewhere in the main harness or the TCU is bad.

Thanks guys for all the help. I did swap out TCU's though. I have a 1993 and swapped it for a 90EX tcu and the car still didn't start. I went as far as to put another ECU in there and still nothing. I am going to test the solinoids and make sure that they are working. Thank you for the help. wish my problem was as easy as just swaping out the TCU

I had a similar problem with my tcu it was bad (had all the same codes). But my car started, but did not shift in 1st or od. When I was looking for tcu's I found out only 90-91 dx lx would work with my car (91 2dr LX). So it might be your tcu is not compatible with your ecu.

1st off i'd like to confirm that YES one can start their automatic accord without a TCU hooked up.. I tried it on my dad's 90 Ex auto

Well believe it or not - it's not the TCU. lol. Hooked up my TCU to another 4th gen auto accord and it didn't throw any codes. Then just to be sure I put the good tcu in my accord and it threw all the same codes. I also tested my ECU the same way and it works.

So as of right now. I am going to check the grounds and look for any wires that might cut or have some corrosion (sp?). This thing really has me beat, because the ecu is not giving me any codes. -_-

i only have two ideas then if your tcu is good but car doesnt start.
1)- CHECK THE CONDITION FOF YOUR NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE-it bolts to your tranny i believe and could be corroded.
2)- check the coolant temp sensor as this could also prevent a no start and is incorporated in the tcu error codes. its probably not it, but a remote possibility.

good luck and let us know

Alright I figured it out. I check for fuel this morning and there was no fuel and no spark.this could only lead me to believe one thing. That the MAIN RELAY is the problem here. Sure enough it was. However, prior to me check for fuel - I closely examined the fuse boxes and I noticed that my ECU 10amp fuse was missing. FUCK!@!!!! Guess I forgot to put this back on. So my attempts at checknig the MAIN RELAY where in vain a few days ago, since my ECU fuse was not there.

--Thank you all for your help. FUCK THE tranny codes. I am going to thug it just like that.

1-Lock-up solenoid 'A' circuit open or shorted.
2-Lock-up solenoid 'B' circuit open or shorted.
8-Shift Solenoid 'B' circuit open or shorted.

Thanks in advance to whoever can tell me the location of these solenoid and /or how to fix it

front of the transmission, 3 10mm bolts per pair of solenoids.
