Did you test if your clutch is slipping?
Did one of your springs come loose?
Did you recently change your tranny fluid?
Does it only do it on cold mornings?
When the noise starts, does depressing the clutch stop it or does it keep going? And if it keeps going, does it stop only when you come to a complete stop (no matter what gear (including neutral)or if clutch is engaged/disengaged)?Last edited by TBILL; 03-29-2004, 03:10 AM.TBILL

the exact same thing happened to me, as long as im understanding you correctly... it wasnt so much of a metal grinding like a train stopping, sounds more like brakes... idk. i ended up swapping an h22 and it fixed the problem... wish i could help you out... im gonna take a look at my old f22 clutch to see if it was in fact worn down too far. ill let u know.

i did just change my tranny fluid but iwas doind it before.it does it ONLY on take off from 1st gear.it will do it until i have the rpms up.and it only happens in 1st.i dont think my recent tranny fluid change has anythnig to do with it.
Sometimes a spring can become loose and give a skreech. I think this could be a possibility.TBILL
