its my turn now- car not starting

EDIT: STOP RESPONDING, this thread is over 2 years old! haha

    http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthre...&threadid=2768

its along that same line, i even made a comment about it in that thread. it only happens sometimes when the car is cold (would start everytime after its already been running), but since its so cold out, i cant even get it started at all. i turn the key, cluster lights turn on like normal, i hear the normal single relay click from under the dash, and the beeping telling me the key is turned... but car doesnt start. if i hold the key turned, i dont hear anything... not like a continuous ticking (which has happened when my battery was half dead. i have a new battery now)...

this the main relay, starter relay, starter motor, or what? i mean i have a car i can use in the meantime, but this is sucky... where under the dash are those 2 relays? up above all the fuses? cuz they are hard as crap to get out when its cold out, but resoldering them wouldnt be a problem for me.

i guess its time to hook up my block heater...

throttle plate frozen shut? Its not making any kind of attempt to turn over at all?

no sir. got home from school today and tried again (its a little warmer out) and most of the time it doesnt turn over at all, a couple times it turned over once or twice and died, it almost started... either the relay is flaking in and out, or the motor is dying? anyone?

try giving the starter a few bangs using a hammer...
this method sometimes work, if the starter is rusted inside.

ill try it. anyone know if an h22a starter would mount on my f22 (if it is in fact the starter motor)? im not planning on spending any kind of money on keeping this f22 running, and i have an h22 starter...

What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

if u jump it and its fine that may be ur problem, if not then its of course something else...

sometimes cold kills the battery...cold cranking amps...the battery has to work a bit harder to start....

im not saying its the solution but its one thing off of the list of things that the problem can be =)

A dying starter might also do the intermittant problem. Do you hear any kind of sounds, like clicking?

this is bad when mike asks questions......try the main relay out of one of your other cars.....and go from there
