go to autozone and get one of the funnels that have the long bendy extension hose at the end of them, slide it down from up above then reach in from the side and bend the hose and stick it in the side of the tranny. then fill.

Or, you can go to autozone and get a pump that is designed for exactly this purpose. The pump suckes the oil out of the quart, and pumps it up into the fill hole. You do this from the bottom.

The pump doesn't cost anymore than that funnel, and it also takes less than 5 minutes.

Nothing wrong with offering another way to skin a cat. Nothing lazy about it.

that pump looks sweet. Getting to the fill hole is a PITA. I usually had to remove my air intake so I could get to it better. I would have bought a pump like that for all the times I changed my fluid. I ended up making some contraption from Home Depot that worked good a few years back.

Please please please tell me you're not actually hammering on or kicking a ratchet. They make breaker bars (or flex handles) for a reson. Tools are too expensive, or at least inconvenient, to break by abusing them like that.
I swear, eventually I'll run out of things to break.

I guess I was wrong... I broke it all. Died 10/29/06

Breaker bars are a def pluss to have I had to use it to seperate my tranny. They deffinately reduce the amount of sweat removing them bolts.

ok so heres the problem as i read this thread the bolt that has a spot for the socket is the drain plug first off and filling it through the top is incorrect there is also a bolt above the one that the 3/8's ratchet fits in thats the fill hole not the top nozel thing i have yet to figure out what that was originally there for the second bolt above the one that the ratchet fits in you fill until it slightly above that then your full bout a quart or 2

                          the build and demise
buy stuff i want a new car
