Yeah me too ^ lol......I was so confused when I saw the topic.

I would say forget that radiator and just go pick up a new used one at the junkyard. Bring some water with you to check for leaks.

Yeah it sounds like your radiator is rusting through. If you're not leaking yet, you're lucky. Time for a new one. And btw smelling radiator fluid all the time can kinda piss you off, my last car, an 87 nova taught me that. Everytime I smell radiator fluid now I get frustrated/irritated.

on the stairs, she grabs my arm, says whats up,
where you been, is something wrong?
i try to just smile, and say everything’s fine.

          hello blown headgasket (extremely possible)

go to a shop very soon and get it leakdown tested

take a pic of the lumpy brown coolant that you drain, i filled and flushed it 7 times and used a shop vac to vac as much fluid out then filled it with perfect 50/50 and a day or 2 later it looked like rusty lumpy bubbly brown stuff.

this sounds exactly like my story, i replaced the radiator thinking it was mixing tranny fluid into my coolant... soon found i had a blown headgakset.
